Hahahahaha I know! I was sitting here this morning ranting with Bubs about how the sorting was clearly all irrelevant anyway since no one actually typifies their supposed house traits and then had a "wait a minute...hat burned up?" light bulb moment.

But that's one of those laughable things to me, not something that's book ruining or anything like that. Maybe the sorting hat melded into Neville's head and Neville does the sorting himself, just laying his hands on the children to sort them!

Oooh, I definitely see some porn coming from this idea...
