Well, I think there is a very valid point to the statement that unwanted sexual advances against men are not taken very seriously, and are often the butt of jokes in ways that they would not be with women, and in ways that are often exceedingly homophobic or transphobic. And it is a good subject for a post. It's something that needs more discussing. But the fact that it happens to men wasn't glossed over here because it's not a valid topic-- it's that it's not really pertinent to what I wanted to discuss here and now, and the suggestion that all unwanted sexual attention has nothing to do with gender because men also get unwanted sexual attention is patently false and derails the discussion I want to have. So I feel it's important not to discourage that discussion-- as long as it happens elsewhere.
