Yeah. I think this entry needs a companion "What is concrit?" piece that I didn't get into so much here. I feel like the issue is that most of the crit that makes people leery of concrit in Idol and in general writing-related activities isn't actually concrit, but gets lumped in with concrit because the person giving it doesn't know the difference between appropriate concrit and your very apt hammer swing comparison. And that's not entirely fair to people who want to give good crit, or to people who want to receive concrit, but I'm not sure how to help people judge their own ability to give it.
