Some things by the numbers

1) My Fictional Hero On Occupy Wall Street "Historically, a story about people inside impressive buildings ignoring or even taunting people standing outside shouting at them turns out to be a story with an unhappy ending."

2) I am exhausted and sore from Comic-Con, and additionally sore from my period.

3) I am grateful, however, that my period decided to come the day AFTER Comic-Con.

4) This is why I am at home watching House and drinking herbal tea and eating bland crackers instead of being at Whiskey Night.

5)

6) My grocery store has Jarritos Tamarindo again so at least that is happy.

I love the seventh observation, and it's something some of my classmates DESPERATELY need to learn.

The problem with Avoxes is that removing someone's tongue doesn't stop them from typing.

[identity profile] pikacharma.livejournal.com 2011-10-18 02:35 am (UTC)(link)
No but it stops them from threatening to do things with their tongue.

I am gathering a Katniss costume for my Catherine as I type (well, actually, I'm not, because thrift stores are mostly closed right now, but, yeah)! <3 yours!

I can't get the Lemony Snicket link to work, but I like the fellow very much.

Try this one:

I posted this to my facebook yesterday; I never read his books (I was exactly the wrong age where I was too old for it to be cool and not old enough not to care whether it was cool), but this was a thoughtful and humorous take on the issue.

[identity profile] zia-narratora.livejournal.com 2011-10-18 03:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, you should read them! You would love them now I think.

[identity profile] gabbygrl.livejournal.com 2011-10-18 03:58 pm (UTC)(link)
I'll check them out! The library is almost certain to have them.

[identity profile] ecosopher.livejournal.com 2011-10-20 01:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Thanks - I got it that time.

I was that age too, I think, although I had the good fortune to be doing prac at a primary school where they were reading the first book and I got to read it aloud to a whole bunch of 8 and 9 year olds :)

He also did a NaNoWriMo pep talk, I think it was last year.
