Oh my god. It's about people who use luck as a commodity. The worse the disaster you survive, the more valuable you are. You compete against other survivors to win their luck away from them. You gamble other people's luck.
I can't do it justice just making a comment on a post. But it's gorgeously made, the acting is great,the characters are fucking awesome, and it's just got an incredibly solid premise. Max Von Sydow's role is tiny, and at first I was like, okay, he's top billed because he's the only person Americans will recognize in this cast...but my god he's amazing.
I want to write something like this someday.
