ugo foscolo

i am sitting at my desk drawing cutesy cartoon-style ugo foscolo. yup. not particularly sure why, even, haven't ever read his stuff since it's hard to find in english translation, even thought about reading some, you know, since i'm drawing little cartoon doodles of him, but stupid google couldn't find me any in english.

he does make a cute cartoon though.

ugo foscolo was an italian poet. he wrote a bunch of critical essays as well, especially stuff about the napoleonic wars. http://www.bartleby.com/65/fo/Foscolo.html
