Art & Other Awesomeness

I am back from land of ice and snow and [livejournal.com profile] rhikat now!

So, on the flight back, I notice this girl on line waiting to get on the plane wearing not only a Ravenclaw scarf, but a ,full freaking Ravenclaw uniform. Like, tie, sweater, scarf.

And she had a cat that looked like Crookshanks.

So when we were waiting for our luggage, I struck up a conversation with her. She was pretty cool and I ended up giving her my email. So hilarious.

I drew pictures on the plane:

1) Jammy in Gypsy Clothes (Yes, that's DotG Jammy, played by [livejournal.com profile] seori

2) Marcello and Niabheara in the Really Narrow Bed (mine and [livejournal.com profile] quizzicalsphinx's characters)

Also: I deleted anybody who hasn't posted in the past couple months. (I steal [livejournal.com profile] quizzicalsphinx's ideas days after she does them) If you want back on, it ain't nothing personal,so please just poke me and tell me you're still alive and I'll put you back.

Also Also: Would people be at all interested in buying animal hats like the Bee Hat Moose Hat if I were to make them for purchase? If so, how much would you be willing to spend to get a custom animal and a custom color? To start, I would probably do bunnies, bees, dogs, and cats. I am just concerned that they cost more for me to make than for anyone to be able to buy.

I like the feet on the second one. :D

Thanks! I like their feet too!

oh my god, i thought the exact same thing!

as for hats, i'd totally buy one if i wasn't poor! :(

[identity profile] teaberryblue.livejournal.com 2007-12-28 11:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Aw! How much hypothetical money would you spend?

[identity profile] murk3y.livejournal.com 2007-12-28 11:25 pm (UTC)(link)
no more than 30 hypothetical moneys. i saw some adorable hats like yours in a mall, but not knitted, and they were $25, i think.

[identity profile] teaberryblue.livejournal.com 2007-12-28 11:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Shoot. For them to cost $30 would mean it would have to take less than an hour to make :-(

[identity profile] murk3y.livejournal.com 2007-12-28 11:42 pm (UTC)(link)
i guess thats why the non-knitted ones are cheaper :(
at $35-45, i'd maybe still consider, but thats about it.

Thanks!

I volunteer to be your official hat model!

I think most people won't be able to pay more then $35 for a hat, no matter how cute, though. But it still might be worth doing a few on comission, even if it doesn't work out to a living wage - as long as you're making some money, and you can work on them in the movies or things, you still come out ahead.

Or you can just make hats for me. I like that plan too.

I love how you shaded their cute little feet! I have a thing for cross-hatching :)

[identity profile] teaberryblue.livejournal.com 2007-12-29 08:06 am (UTC)(link)
I just have to make sure they cost enough to support the yarn habit, I think! Plus shipping!

Aw, thank you! I was trying my best for 'itchy socks.'

eeeeee, it all jingles! I love her clothes. You are my favourite person!!!!

I am sorry I couldn't be around last night - and I actually won't be around tonight either, because my parents are taking me to the opera. :(

I'd buy a hat! I bought a kitty hat in Korea for about US $12 but I would definitely pay more than that for a custom one. $25 is probably my limit for any sort of hat...
