I like your version much more than the movie! And I agree with you 100% about the end. I thought the same thing. What's the point in going to all that trouble to save the souls if all that's going to happen is they go to heaven. I really thought they were going to come back. The deaths felt unnecessary, and wrong, and 9 was really to blame for it all, and that was glossed over. Yeah, I was frustrated.
