Good point. That's why I don't shy away from talking about rape or assault; I figure that if my words can help someone else come to terms with her/his experiences, or can finally allow her/him to open up, it was more than worth it.
And yeah. In doctor's offices. Once by a male nurse. I'm pretty much practically dying from about 8 disorders, pale as a ghost, and don't bother to do a damn thing (make-up, hair, nice clothes, ANYTHING to draw attention to myself - and I don't really do that for guys anymore. If I dress up, I do it to make ME feel better...), and I still get followed around and hit on. It's sickening (no pun intended).
