I think it depends what sort of drinks, price range, do you want food, that kind of stuff? If you are looking for something nice, I might recommend Toloache, which is a Mexican place that makes really nice margarita type drinks and has good small plates if people want appetizers. If you're looking for a classic bar-bar, Rum House is super classy old fashioned style bar but can be a bit tough if you have a large group. If you just want beer there are a couple Heartland Breweries right in the area that are perfectly decent for that kind of thing, and my go-to work pub is McGee's, although that is getting slightly uptown of theater district.
