I'll have had my tablet two years by April. I usually don't like to use it for drawing; it just feels too weird not drawing with pencil and paper. ): The texture isn't the same at all, even with a felt tip - which is why I usually only use it for coloring. Which is also really rare, which is why I'm so bad at coloring in Photoshop right now... hahaha. Sigh.
My tablet's a Wacom Intuos3 6x8, and it really is pretty spiffy. I feel bad that I don't use it more ):

RE #7: Whenever I feel like practicing something I usually just try to make my own points of reference. saves money on the drawing books (: haha. So for drapery, I'd just draw whatever random cloth thing is within a five-foot radius of me, lol :P
