Ewww. My hospital horror story was when I had appendicitis. I had gone to a walk in clinic before hand and he diagnosed me first of all. Even with a note from a walk in clinic doctor and me being in too much pain to walk (they put me in a wheelchair because there weren't even any of those cots on wheels available), I waited for more than 4 hours before I was even called, and it was a full 8 hours before they started hydrating me and giving me something for the pain.
The surgery did go well, and the doctor was thorough enough about making sure that it was a correct diagnosis but...that was a ridiculous amount of time to wait to be seen, given the condition I was in. I wanted to throttle people who brought in their small children - still in good enough condition to run around and play - and then the kids got seen before I did. X_X
