I get evaporated can juice from Trader Joe's if you have that near you. This brand (http://www.bobsredmill.com/evaporated-cane-juice.html) is also pretty common in natural food stores. Oh, and no, Steen's is completely different. If you can't get evaporated cane juice, use Sugar in the Raw.
If you can't find DdC, Koval (http://www.koval-distillery.com/products/liqueurs/ginger-liqueur) also makes a ginger liqueur as well.
