Okay, remember how, like, three months ago, I offered to mail people stuff?

Here, if anyone remembers

I completely fail. I also owe a couple people minicomics. However, I still have all the stuff in bins in my apartment, and I want to clean it out before I move.

Plus, I now have a bunch of Betty Boop and Popeye stuff from work I would like to give to people. Really good stuff. Cute purses and stuff.

Here's the stuff I have confirmed people want:

[livejournal.com profile] rainy_day: tops, dark colors. packed
[livejournal.com profile] writingmoments: purse. packed
[livejournal.com profile] kittenboo: black shoes, tops. waiting to confirm
[livejournal.com profile] smammers: buttondown, sweater. waiting to confirm
[livejournal.com profile] dragonmagelet: shoes, bras if I can find some.
[livejournal.com profile] stringdancegirl:purse. packed
[livejournal.com profile] supremegoddess:purse. packed
[livejournal.com profile] arielchan:small stuff no one else calls. packed.
[livejournal.com profile] whirled:shirts Brenna doesn't want. waiting on price and addy.
[livejournal.com profile] f4l:waiting on price.

Everybody on this list, if you still want it, paypal me at demiurge [at] antagonia [dot] net (do it as a "personal" paypal for "money owed" or "gift" so I don't have to pay a fee on it) $10.70, put your address in the paypal note, and I will mail you stuff! I will pack up the boxes this weekend. Ange, I may need to talk to you about shipping costs since international will be more.

If you can't afford the shipping, just send me a message and we can work something out.

If you are not on this list and want to check on stuff that hasn't been claimed, comment here! Comments are not screened, so don't put in your address.

Also, tell me if you like Betty Boop and/or Popeye.

I will try to get all the mail out tomorrow or Monday.

ETA I have some cute men's Popeye shirts in addition to women's stuff, if anyone wants any. Two size S and an XL.

So I am cleaning out my closets! Does anyone on my flist have a need/use for gently used women's clothing in sizes 4-8 or Small-Medium? I will fill as many medium sized priority boxes as I can, just post your address and specify if you have a size/type of clothing/color request and I'll send stuff to the first people who ask. Probably next week.

Oh, and anyone who is not my size, I have some purses as well and shoes size 8-9.

ETA since a couple people have asked: if you can pay shipping, great; if not, don't sweat it, just let me know. I don't expect anyone to pay me for the clothes themselves!

I meant to post this yesterday, but I was hardcore trying to finish up my pie comic. Which is done, but not printed! Everything else is printed and cut and all ready to be stapled. And yes, that is about 150 comics to staple, but I can get that done this week easily! Yay!

[livejournal.com profile] kamenkyote sent me some artwork that arrived on Monday, in the midst of torrential rain! So it stayed on my desk all week.

Today I got a giant box full of Oscar Wilde from [livejournal.com profile] twowishesleft. He is this amazing plush pillow doll. I am super excited!

But yesterday? Yesterday was the day of mail not to be forgotten.

First, I got these:

Pretty awesome, huh? I am stoked for my business cards. They were only like $20 for a thousand cards, so any of you who have ever wanted business cards just because, you should get some!

So I was already happy, when another package arrives...

My mother sent me not one, but TWO boxes of See's chocolates.

And that might have been enough, but then I went to check my submissions mailbox, and there was this odd-shaped envelope, and I was like, hm, this is a funny shape for a submission. And then I looked and saw it was addressed to me and not to Submissions Editor.

And then I saw that it was from [livejournal.com profile] whirled.

It was a book! And this is what was inside:

Which is just more proof that [livejournal.com profile] whirled might just be one of the most awesome people ever.

But it is funny, because I actually have something for [livejournal.com profile] whirled.

On Wednesday night, I went out to be moral support while Dan Piraro shot a video to promote our iPhone app. [livejournal.com profile] whirled sent me the following message:

You were drinking with MR BIZARRO?!

Sigh. I'm moving to NYC, dammit!

The thing was, I was still drinking with Mr. Bizarro. And I showed him the message. And he was like, "oh! Then we should get a picture of the two of us together for her!"

I only had my phone, and it doesn't have the greatest flash, but Dan's wife took a pic for you, [livejournal.com profile] whirled! So it turned out appropriately weird. Thank you for my book!

Mere is graduating from college this weekend!

Now, there is a story here. I have two longtime internet friends who are both named Mere and both from Washington. One Mere came to New York this week and the two of us went to Carnegie Deli on Thursday night and gorged ourselves on giant meat sandwiches. But before dinner, we went to Kate’s Paperie because I thought Mere would like looking at all the fancy shmancy papers and it was kind of damp out so it was nice to have a dry place to walk around.

While we were in Kate’s, I saw a card that had a little horse and rider woodcut on it, and it said VICTORY in big letters. We talked about how it was a great graduation card– and then I realized that it would be a PERFECT card for the OTHER Mere, the one who was not in New York! Because that Mere loves horsies. (Edit to add: Here is a link to the card that I saw!)

So I went home and I told Mere about the card. And she said it WAS the perfect card for her. Only it would be more perfect if it had Clint Eastwood, a springer spaniel, and Washington Irving and John Adams making out on the front of it.

HAPPY GRADUATION MERE.

My apartment has air conditioning and cable, but is far, far, far from unpacked. I think the unpacking will happen this week, I have just had a jam-packed weekend.

It's been Hogsmeade over at [livejournal.com profile] hogwarts_elite, and I have entered about six contests. I am going to try to enter a seventh one tonight, and then that will be all the contests I wanted to enter. For those of you who aren't in HE, Hogsmeade is a weekend-long fic-and-art-and-other-random-fandom-shit contest festival. It is super super fun. I'm hosting a contest, as well, where you have to write a book report on a non-Harry-Potter book from the POV of a Harry Potter character. Fun times.

Yesterday, I went to Queens with [livejournal.com profile] cacophonesque and [livejournal.com profile] liret, to go to a book sale. Destiny's friends are moving out of the country and were selling off a lot of books. We also met [livejournal.com profile] penguinjunky and [livejournal.com profile] iheartpotatoes there. I went not really intending to buy anything? Especially since my shelves are full? I ended up with THREE of the Cerebus collections, the first five Oz books, the first Oz book annotated, the new Diana Wynne Jones book that I haven't read yet, a single volume collection of Prydain, and Grave of the Fireflies on DVD, for $16. [livejournal.com profile] iheartpotatoes was feeling unwell, so we left her after the sale and went out for sushi.

Then, Jess and I met up with Laurie, an old high school friend I haven't seen in, gosh, probably almost ten years? She's a dancer and actress who actually plays MONSTERS in Sesame Street Live-- is that not awesome? She's also been in My Little Pony Live, as well. Anyway, she just called me out of the blue on Friday and asked us if we wanted to go out-- Oh, man, I love Facebook. So we went to dinner and then went to see [Title of Show]. And then something amazing happened.

Laurie went to get our tickets from the Will Call booth, and in doing so, discovered that the internet sale site had accidentally-- through human or computer error-- given us MATINEE instead of evening tickets. Laurie is looking horribly apologetic, and the lady behind the window says, "let me see what I can do."

She comped us three tickets to that night's performance--

Three tickets in the SECOND ROW, CENTER STAGE.

Which was an amazing way to see the show. It's very small and intimate, and all the actors are eye-contact people, so while there are shows I wouldn't mind seeing from further back, and some that are BETTER from further back, this was absolutely incredibly. It was a great show, very nerdy and theater-geek referential, and it made me want to get back into seeing shows.

Now Destiny and Jess and I are heading out for the day again-- to see a METS GAME. My dad got three tickets, because it's the last season at Shea? And he GAVE THEM TO ME. SCORE. All I have to do is give him the stubs to save.

Life is good. Time to leave!

In case anyone wasn't aware, I have the most amazing friends. It's been a long time since I felt this way, since I felt like my friends were there to lift me up and make me stronger and better and happier.

[livejournal.com profile] cacaphonesque came over to help me pack, and she helped and helped and brought her friend Calin to help, too. We packed and drank and talked about things, and I sat down all guru-style to explain the history of the Comics Code and my feelings about rampant sexism in modern society.

And I just felt loved. And I don't think it was all the booze.

Tomorrow, [livejournal.com profile] liret is coming, to help me finish packing, and then Thursday, I move into my new apartment, and Friday I will have my internets set up and air conditioning installed.

On Saturday, we are all going to a Mets game together, and I will get to go to Shea Stadium one last time before the Mets move to a different field. Whoa, end of an era. I might even buy the sushi this time.

I remember being a little kid at Shea; I remember the 1986 World Series; I remember the RC Shake Things Up sign that lit up whenever the Mets scored.

I am loved. I am happy. That is amazing. Also, I am almost packed. Also amazing.
