Mmmmmm

This vegan soul food place in DC has this famous macaroni cheese and uses garlic VERY heavily. Kind of strange, but when you've been drunk, it's the most delicious thing ever.

How was the ice cream?

Yummy! It was pistachio garlic. I've had garlic ice cream before but this one was particularly garlicky.

No, it's literally named "Vegan Soul Food Cafe" or something.

Hah! Awesome. If you like that kind of stuff, I'd recommend busboys & poets--there's one in Arlington, in the Shirlington area, and I think there's one sort of near Union Station. I could be wrong, but the point is that I had a vegan quesadilla there, and it was phenomenal.

Garlic ice cream? How does that work out? Like, I can't even begin to imagine a mixture of garlic and ice cream.

I COULD LOOK LIKE A GREEN BAY PACKERS FAN, EXCEPT WITH GARLIC INSTEAD OF CHEESE. I'M VEGAN ANYWAY.

How did I not know such an event exists?? I LOVE GARLIC SO MUCH. I put it on everything. No vampire will ever come near me, or anyone else for that matter 8D Is this in NYC?

Your comics are adorable, btw.

No, it was up in Connecticut. It was kind of awesome, everyone had free samples and I went crazy!

There is a book I used to read called Frankenstein's Aunt, who would befriend vampires because she knew they would never bite her because she ate so much garlic.

Oh I don't mind at all!

I start out with a mechanical pencil to do a rough sketch and then I ink with a Sakura Micron, 03 for most of the linework, 005 for the fine detailing, and 08 or 1 for the really thick outlines. I use Faber-Castell Pitt artist pens with a brush tip for the shading-- if you're interested in trying them out, they make a Manga Artist set that is a few black pens in different widths and then several different shades of grey with a brush tip. They also make color ones, which I've just bought to try.
