Poll about online communities

Hey, guys! This is for my job-- I am trying to help create a new online community that is focused on mobile phones, and part of my work is researching the online communities people are already part of and what features work and don't work.

So I am trying to find out what people like and dislike about the most popular online communities-- a lot of these are blog/journal communities, but some are other things. If you have the time to answer a bunch of questions, or to point your friends here to answer, I would really appreciate it. No one can see what you answered, and comments are screened.

Any other additional comments you want to make would be awesome, too.

PS Work went well, I think. I want to write about it but not quite yet. I did survive, though, and it was fun.

Thanks! We're not intending to go the ad route but to do more of what LJ has started doing and what AIM does with "sponsored features" where we get other companies to pay us to develop features and then tack their name to it, or sponsored channels that have more features or that are company advertisement only in that channel if you subscribe to it (like you could subscribe to a channel for your favorite store and get alerted when there are sales or new products, but you'd only get those if you opted in). So any advertisement would be very subtle.
