I got back to New York to discover TWO overseas packages waiting for me.

One, from [livejournal.com profile] crazy_megan was FULL OF CHOCOLATE. BEAUTIFUL SWEDISH CHOCOLATE.

The other, from [livejournal.com profile] seori, was FULL OF LAST YEAR'S CHRISTMAS PRESENT. Which was a kangaroo's nutsack.

No, I'm serious. A kangaroo's nutsack.

Plus a Christmas card from one of her RP characters to one of mine!

I have the best friends ever.

In other news, I got the following email today:

O POO! Last week I bought a stack of kangaroo-nutsacks to give out to people I will hopefully manage to meet up with in the US! They are my disturbingly-hilarious-Oz-souvenir of choice!

...and that one is bigger than the ones I bought. I feel disturbingly inadequate.

Tragically, I have no kangaroo! When I sent a giraffe to Australia, it lost a leg on the way, so I can only presume that the same happened in reverse. Only with the, um, greater part of the kangaroo... EGADS, THE POSTAL SERVICE, IT PRACTISES CASTRATION.

Heh, I actually think it has earrings in it.

Giraffe did not lose his leg; only broke it!

The rest of your kangaroo, on the other hand, probably became tasty tasty steak!

Shhh, don't make excuses for the postal service. You know they're really evil. After all, they confiscate BATH BEANS! ;)

Do you ever actually eat kangaroo steak? XD We get ostrich here as a pretty ordinary alternative to beef.

Err, it's a lucky kangaroo nutsack, actually. And you requested it, in a roundabout way.

I REQUESTED THE REST OF THE KANGAROO AS WELL.

I thought Eoin explained it very clearly?

Well, okay, maybe I explained it very clearly using Eoin's words. It amounts to the same thing. Except I'm actually not allowed to take credit for things like this, so I'd appreciate it if this stayed between you, me, and the internet.

Don't worry, I won't tell anyone outside of the entire internet. Your secret is safe with us.

hah, she still finds sending e-mails taxing. I'll try to get Eoin to start one, you can troll that with my blessing. Unless he finds out what is between you, me, and the internet...
