The party was fun! My costume kicked ass, and I ate:

1 Boston Creme Donut
1 Slice of Coconut Pie
1 Slice of Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie
1 Slice of Lemon Meringue Pie
Lots of Chex Mix
3 Cups Black Coffee
1 Cup Manhattan Special (Coffee & Coke mixed)

This bears informing you all about because I have not, with the exception of silly girly coffee drinks from Starbucks, had a cup of coffee since I was 17. If you have ever wondered about the real effect of caffiene, OH MY GOD. I was so wired. It was exactly like being drunk, except without the judgment issues. I couldn't even type straight. WHOA. Seriously, I think I was capslocking everything I said last night. quizzicalsphinx and liret can probably attest to that. I am assuming the fact that everything else substantial I ate all day contained mass amounts of sugar didn't help. Whoa.

And then I crashed so hard. I ate green beans, though, and those got me out of the crash, which I guess is the benefit caffeine/sugar has over alcohol. I don't think green beans can cure a hangover.

Okay, as a rule, I don't do memes when I'm tagged, but I liked the concept behind this one, despite the fact that I hate the stupid little generator for it.

Culinary Guilt
Stouffers' Chicken Pot Pie

I think this means something a bit different for me, because I am not particularly someone who gets guilty about the healthiness of my food, but growing up with a mother who made everything (and I mean everything, including beer and yogurt, from scratch, I'm embarrassed to like anything that gets cooked in a microwave. This is somewhat akin to failure as a human being. But they are really yummy and wonderful late-night-snack food. I actually prefer the Marie Callendar's brand because they have little onions in them, but they don't sell those at any of my local grocery stores.

In other tales from the fascinating and bad eating habits, I:
--Guzzle Lemonade-flavored Gatorade.
--Enjoy Birdseye Green Beans and Spaetzle.
--Eat ceci beans straight out of the can.
--Mix bowls of butter and brown sugar and chocolate chips, and put this in the microwave.
--Drink from the container. This is less gross when you live alone, and I don't do it at other people's houses.
--Love Passover Marshmallows (the ones dipped in coconut) to death.

Literary Guilt
Nothing.

This may at first glance sound like I am not ashamed of anything I read, but what I mean, in actuality, is that I don't read. I am very well-read, surprisingly so for someone who hasn't finished a book since the last Lemony Snicket came out. But I generally only read two or three books a year. I'm a painfully slow reader, mostly due to being dysgraphic (I can't deal with washrooms that only say M and W on the doors because the letters look the same to me), and just plain prefer to watch movies over reading books.

I know, it probably makes me a bad person, especially having been a voracious bookworm as a child, but, then, I wasn't allowed to watch TV as a child, so I didn't know what I was missing.

Honorable mention goes to:
--Girlie magazines (by this I mean ones full of beauty tips and human interest stories, not porn)
--Old Caroline B. Cooney and Lois Duncan horror books.

Audiovisual Guilt
Meh, I'm changing these categories.

Televisual Guilt
Ugly Betty

I know Ugly Betty is horrible. I can judge this with all my objective knowledge of television and film. The production values suck, a lot of the acting is pretty much hamming it up, even Vanessa Williams' hair sucks. BUT IT IS SO CUTE. The characters are just so sweet and wishy-washy and the plot twists are just so hilariously out there-- it's like it revels in being horrible television, and that makes it good. Now, I don't have to cancel all my Thursday plans to make sure I don't miss it, but I generally watch new eps online within a week of them airing when I do.

Honorable mention goes to:
--American Idol (although I haven't been watching as much this season)
--Wifeswap (again, haven't watched it recently)
--Christmas specials

Cinematic Guilt
Lindsay Lohan movies.

There haven't actually been any of these in a while, but I'm sorry, it doesn't matter how many horror stories the tabloids print about her getting drunk in rehab or using her ninja skillz on Jessica Simpson or recruiting for biological specimens to take back to her home planet, I adore Lindsay Lohan. I think she's a brilliant comedic actress and she's never done anything that has failed to crack me up, including her stint in "A Prairie Home Companion" completely fucking up the words to "Frankie and Johnny." She's one of a very small list of actors and actresses for whom I will happily see any movie they make, and, well, most of the other ones (with the exceptions of Will Ferrell and Jack Black) are considered extremely more dignified. I think "Mean Girls" is the greatest teen movie since "The Breakfast Club." I strongly believe that with all my heart.

Honorable mention goes to:
--Other sappy girly romance movies.
--The Robert Englund Phantom of the Opera
--Anything Julian Sands has ever starred in, ever.
--I would say Troma flicks, except that's an easy answer. No one is actually embarrassed that they like Troma.

Gaming Guilt
The Sims 2

I haven't played Sims 2 in forever, but seriously? I never really played it much anyway. I just buy all the expansions and spend all my time setting up houses and making characters and then don't have time to play it because I realize that it's suddenly eight in the morning and I've been up all night decorating an imaginary bedroom. I'm not embarrassed by the fact that I play it. I'm embarrassed that I spend so much money buying the damn CDs and then barely play it, and never apparently achieve anything interesting while playing it.

Musical Guilt
Pretending to be a pop star.

I think this outweighs actually listening to anything. I totally block out dances moves in my apartment. I sing out loud. I sing in the shower. I sing on the street. I listen to the same song four or five times in a row so I can figure out how I would perform it. I love to sing. I used to be quite good at it, but then I stopped practicing when I went to college and now, mmm, not so much. But I still love to do it. I don't think I would ever actually want to be a pop start, but I would love to perform music for an audience. And not acting, just singing. I get so pumped up when I'm singing.

Honorable mention goes to:
--ABBA
--Pretty much anything else from the disco era.

Celebrity Guilt
I already gushed about Lindsay Lohan above. Does that count? I'm really not that big of a celebrity watcher-- and there aren't too many celebrities I like that I'd be embarrassed to admit I like. Okay, there was that mad crush on Richard Simmons, but that's before I realized he was a man.

I do this too, minus the chocolate chips but with a good dash of vanilla and sometimes lots of cinnamon/nutmeg/ginger/cloves. Or sometimes with regular sugar and cocoa instead. This is probably the guiltiest of my guilty pleasures.

Oh man, I love Lindsay Lohan movies, too! I've never really listened to her music, but when I see her on the screen it just sort of lifts my spirits.

Also, I often do the same thing with Sims 2. Actually, I've been thinking recently about how I want to build a whole new neighborhood and decorate houses and all of that. It's fun.

Finally, I had no idea that ABBA was considered a guilty pleasure. Maybe I can blame it on my stint of living in Prague, where it was pretty much impossible to *not* listen to ABBA.

Lindsay Lohan is just so...she's hilarious. I put her on part with people like Jack Black, although her type of humor is very different from his. But she's probably one of the best female comic actresses out there. I've never heard her music either, so I can't comment on it either.

And yay to the Sims 2. I still need to get the Pets extension for it.

I love ABBA. But yeah, I don't think they get the same respect in America as they do here.

I have been cutting down to one soda per day, but yesterday, I splurged and had two. Oh my god, I felt like I was never, ever, ever going to go to sleep and somehow woke up this morning still feeling very wide-eyed. So I hear you about the caffeine intake. I haven't had coffee in over a month now, not even the occasional latte. I drink chai or tea about once a week, but it's not nearly as hyped as say, two shots of espresso.

Glad you had fun at the party! Twin Peaks is awesome :)

It has been over 11 years since I had any coffee that wasn't heavily, heavily milked. I drink cola from time to time, maybe once a week or so, and I drink a ton of green tea, so I'm not completely off caffeine, so OH MY GOD. I seriously felt drugged.

I was at Walmart getting supplies to kill my cold and as I walked past all the hair stuff I saw the curlers and thought of you haha.

I'm with you on Lohan... I've seen most of her stuff and for whatever reason I enjoy watching her. She can definitely act, unfortunately she has been in some crap movies lately. I have yet to see Just My Luck though or whatever it's called. I'll probably wait and rent Georgia Rule.

I also want her hair.

Lunchables on the other hand? Oh god. I had one Lunchable, once, because my brother loved them and used to get them in school so I thought I'd give them a try. I don't think I can bring myself to look at them, let alone ever try to eat them again. You are a stronger man than I.

AHHH The Sims 2. I got it for myself for Christmas, and it came in very handy in Berlin, when I didn't really live with people.

And then my computer crashed.

I contemplated re-installing it last week, but I decided it was probably better for me if I put that off as long as possible.

Oh, Lindsay Lohan. I'm like that too, except with Hilary Duff. And I love Ugly Betty too, eventhough I really can't follow the plotlines, I figure they run like this

1. Wihelmina has evil plan to get Daniel/Alexis out of the picture.
2. Marc and Amanda chew scenery
3. Daniel does something stupid that in fact, is better than anything Wilhelmina could plan
4. Ignacio runs from the Government
5. Betty saves everyone's asses and gets something from the closet.

"Mean Girls" was great! I don't think I've seen other Lohan movies though. I do watch Tina Fey's "30 Rock", it's pretty funny, too.

See "Confessions of a Teenaged Drama Queen!" if you liked "Mean Girls." It's hilarious. Not as good as "Mean Girls," but it's up there.

Oh god Sims. I do the same thing, except the only expansion pack I have is University. But I never really play with that setting, because I have grand plans of starting out with grown up Sims, having them have children, and then growing the kids up and sending them to college, but I lose interest in the people after about Step One: Create Sims and spend all my time building houses.

That is EXACTLY my problem. And I used to try to make Sim!Erasmus except by the time I would get all the families set up players would have come and gone and I had to start all over again.

I don't think so. I set mine for free will already. I'm pretty sure that there are certain things they don't do no matter how you set them, unless you deliberately force the action.

Depends on the book and who is reading it! I am much more of an audio person than a visual person, especially when it comes to reading, so I way prefer to listen to a story than to read it-- I can do three other things whilst listening, which is nice.

Anyway, though, I prefer books on tape that have one person reading as a narrator, as opposed to ones that are more "acted out" and have other actors to do the different character voices. But I do prefer for them to have very expressive voices and not just do everything in a monotone.
