Last night,
cacophonesque and I went to a bar and then to dinner.
We started talking about The Myers-Briggs< Inventory, and discovered we had the following in common:
--We both score very close to the threshold on the "E/I" (Extrovert/Introvert) scale, and often switch sides because we are just a few points from the middle.
--We both score as an N on the "N/S" (Intuiting/Sensing) scale.
--We both score as a P on the "J/P" (Judging/Perceiving) scale.
On the last scale, one of us is an "F" (Feeling) and one of us is a "T" (Thinking).
We were wondering if our friendslists could guess. Many of you know both of us, so we were wondering.

Please tell us why in the comments!

Date: 2010-03-18 06:47 pm (UTC)That aside, my guess is that Destiny is the *NTP. But I have been wrong before. I could see how both of you could fit the NT part, honestly, given the things I've read about both of you, our conversations, and your comments toward me and others.
I'm an ENFP, but that was probably pretty easy to determine :)

Date: 2010-03-18 07:05 pm (UTC)I love Myers-Briggs testing! I'm always strongly INT, but J/P is always almost 50-50. I really don't know which I am, but I think over the years I'm going from slightly more J to slightly more P. maybe.

Date: 2010-03-19 05:01 am (UTC)Seek to develop logical explanations for everything that interests them. Theoretical and abstract, interested more in ideas than in social interaction. Quiet, contained, flexible, and adaptable. Have unusual ability to focus in depth to solve problems in their area of interest. Skeptical, sometimes critical, always analytical.
Whereas I see you as an ENTJ:
Frank, decisive, assume leadership readily. Quickly see illogical and inefficient procedures and policies, develop and implement comprehensive systems to solve organizational problems. Enjoy long-term planning and goal setting. Usually well informed, well read, enjoy expanding their knowledge and passing it on to others. Forceful in presenting their ideas.

Date: 2010-03-19 07:24 am (UTC)I am ENT/FJ...
Date: 2010-03-19 07:27 am (UTC)I think I'm mostly going on the fact that many of her LJ entries are more analytical and introspective than heavily emotional, which is a lousy baseline, but there you go.

Date: 2010-03-19 08:11 am (UTC)Having said that though, I think Destiny is the F, because thinking back over my impressions of her LJ entries, the word that comes to mind is "water". Just doing word association, the sort of things I come up with when I think of water are to do with intuition, emotion, and those things are more on the F side for me. Not to say that those things don't apply to you as well, but your LJ and what I know of you seems to be more like "earth", since I'm intent on doing this elements assocation for some reason. Don't ask, it's still Coffee O'Clock. ;P My impression of you is more about logic and being slightly less of a feeling person who expresses that through analysis and exploring those feelings. I think you and Destiny are similar, but I get the feeling that she expresses the feeling side a little bit more, which is where I'm getting the watery association.
Of course, my interpretations of things have been known to run entirely counter to common sense and reality, so I could be way off the mark! XP
I'm usually an ENTJ, but I sometimes waver on the J/P side.

From:Thinker or feeler
Date: 2010-03-19 05:11 pm (UTC)If everyone pays close attention to the formative periods in their lives one can readily realize that a person who is locked in an upstairs room in Maine during the winters with NO heat can't possible feel anything. What else can one do in that situation but think? I suspect that denial may surface on this board shortly!
Additionally, if in Tea's early year's she was deprived of candy, ice cream meat (love those soybean burgers don't you Tea?) and other normal childhood tastes, all she could possibly do is feel that she was missing something. The feeling became even more pronounced when her baby brother was spared that taste deprivation.
Tamara- if I am wrong please find your other father!!! Perhaps Walter will help you.
